Conditions for South Queensland
Winter
The south Queensland area is spoiled by sunny and dry winter month, since the hight pressure zones move along this latitude. This results in very little wind activity and just a few gusty (off-shore) intense westerly wind days.
Spring
The Spring starts mostly with alternating chilly south easterlies and warm northerly winds, driven by the further south moving high pressure zones. Where the humid hot northerlies get more and more dominant later in spring. The typical weather pattern shows a few days of 15kts+ northerly resulting in a storm front followed by one or two days of southerly winds.
Summer
The summer month are dominated by the hot, humid north to north-easterly winds loading up huge summer storms which strike once or twice a week. These summer storms are moving pretty fast (usually 2 to 5hours) they bear heaps of rain and sometimes even hail combined with un-kite able winds.
Autumn
In Autumn the weather pattern changes back from the dominant northerlies to the south easterlies cooling down and pushing back the humidity of the summer month.
The south-easterly sometimes tend to stay for days with 15kts+. But tends to hit with less probability later in autumn.
